- Heather's Law (SEA 316 I.C. 20-19-3-10) was signed into Indiana Law on April 12, 2010 by Governor Mitch Daniels. Heather's Law requires young Hoosiers from 6th through 12th grades to receive education regarding dating violence. Schools must implement dating violence educational programs for grades 6-12 to teach students and parents how to spot and end dating relationships that become abusive.
